There is a story in the name. Aaron Hughes, the owner, is a fan of the show Yellowstone, and his mother, a cosmetologist with a love for willow trees, gave him the other half. Put them together and you get The Twisted Willow: classic at the root, with a little edge in the branches. That is the shop in one sentence.
A 1950s Barbershop, On Purpose
Aaron opened the shop in June 2021, but he had already been cutting hair for years before the sign went up. From day one the vision was a 1950s traditional barbershop: vintage signage, classic chairs, and a room that feels like it has been part of Berea a lot longer than it has. The look is not a costume. It is a standard. Old-school barbering means the details get attention, and the details are the whole job.
Simple on the Service Side
The service side is simple. Traditional and modern cuts, fades, beard trims, razor fades and neck fades, kids cuts for ages 1 and up, and senior cuts. Three barbers, each with their own regulars, each taking the time to do it right. This is not a rushed salon-style visit. You book your time, you get your barber's full attention, and you leave looking sharp.
